SERVICE SCHEME
Our college is having
N.S.S unit since its establishment and it is one of the best N.S.S units
of the Mumbai University. In this academic year 150 students have enrolled
as N.S.S. Volunteers.
1. COMMUNITY FLAG
HOISTING
Our N.S.S volunteers participated in the Community Flag Hoisting
programme held at the
seven places in Kulgaon - Badlapur on 15th August 2010, the Independence
Day and on 26th
January 2011, the Republic Day.
2. CELEBRATION OF
THE DAYS:
-
NSS Unit celebrated
the Sadbhawana Divas on 3rd September 2010.
-
The N.S.S. unit
organised various programmes to celebrate the N.S.S.Day on 24th
September 2010.
-
NSS Unit organised a
lecture on ‘Right to Information’ on 27th September 2010. Shri. M.P.
Mokashi, PSI delivered very informative speech on this occasion.

A programme of
College Campus cleaning was organized on 2nd October 2010 on the
occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
-
A lecture on AIDS
awareness by Dr. Dinesh Samel was organized on 3rd December 2010 the
occasion of World AIDS Day.

N.S.S. Unit
celebrated ‘Yuva Divas’ on the occasion of Swami Vivekanand Jayanti.
3. LECTURES
The Orientation Programme for N.S.S. volunteers was organized on
27th July 2010 and Prof. Anis Chaudhari, District Coordinator, Thane was
invited to guide the volunteers. He motivated the volunteers for
participation in N.S.S. activities.
4. MEETINGS:
A meeting of N.S.S.
Advisory Committee was held on 27th July 2010. Prof. Anis Chaudhari,
N.S.S. Coordinator for Thane District, Shri. Ramchandra Shete,
representative of the Development Department and Smt. Vidya Sathe, a
social worker were present
on this occasion.
A Zonal meeting of
N.S.S Programme Officers was held in our college on 28th July 2010
presided over by Prof. S.S Gaware, the Area Coordinator.
5. LEADERSHIP
TRAINING CAMP:
The four of our N.S.S. volunteers participated in N.S.S.
Leadership Training Camp during 15th to 19th September 2010, arranged in
Badlapur. It was very useful for our volunteers.
6. PARTICIPATION
IN VARIOUS CAMPS:
a) a) Two volunteers participated in University level Camp at
Kotwalwadi, Neral.
b) b) Two Volunteers participated in District Level Camp organized by
Shivle College, Shivle.
c) c) Two Volunteers participated in District Level Camp organized by
Kalsekar College, Mumbra.
7. SPECIAL
ACHIEVEMENT:
We are proud to mention that our volunteer Mast. Nitesh Wagh was
short listed for State Level Republic Day Parade Camp.
Mast. Kunal Bansi Kadam
won the First Prize at Disrtict Level Poster Making competition.
8. SPECIAL
PROGRAMME FOR N.S.S. GIRL VOLUNTEERS:
Our N.S.S. Unit and Women Development Cell of our college
conducted a special Self Defense Training Programme with the guidance of
TATA RALLIES on 12th July 2010.
Our Girl N.S.S
volunteers participated in Yuvati Melava on 27th and 28th August., 2010 in
Adrash College Organized by Koro, an NGO.
The Girl Volunteers
participated in One day District Level Programme Jagruti 2010 at
Bharat College, Badlapur on 6th December 2010.
